Feels Like Home
By Norah Jones

Hey there, just thought I'd let you guys know I'm not dead

It's spring!!! I love spring... Finally seeing grass and the sun after months of snow and low temperatures... Birds coming back to the north... Putting my winterjacket back in the closet.... But most of all, the feeling of putting my hard, uncomfortable, too big soccerboots with spikes to wear on ice deep, deep in the bottom of the basement and getting out my beloved normal boots  That, my friends, is the sign that spring has arrived. The difference between playing soccer with iceboots and normal boots is amazing... Being able to feel the ball again, through the soft leather in my summer boots is great. And it improves my game too

Other than that, we have fullday tests coming up next week... I'm not exactly looking forward to them, but I guess they'll be ok... I feel sorry for those stupid bastards who have chosen to have maths though, cause they had a test today whilst I had the entire day off  mwahaha

I'm going to Germany soon !! Can't wait, I love speaking German. It's a really funny language, lol. It'll be fun seeing the Germans again too, and I think they're planning to show us a lot of bars, haha. Our teacher is so fucked up though. He wrote this sheet of paper with some information about the trip, and he'd written "I see it as a matter of course that none of you consume alcohol so that you are visibly intoxicated." I mean - how stupid is he? Hellooooo, we're going to Germany, the country of beer... Haha, he's so slow, but he's actually really nice.

I finally got a job for the summer... At a museum, lol. That's so not me. The Olympic Museum of Lillehammer. Lillehammer is so sad when it comes to this olympic stuff... Seriously. Last year, they even celebrated the tenth anniversary of the games. Who, except the Norwegians, remembers the Lillehammer Winter Olympics 1994? Oh well, it got me a job. Kinda sucks though, cause I have to work all summer. But lots of work means lots of money, so I guess it's ok.

Thats all for now - take care

Hi people :)

I just thought I should make an update... I haven't used xanga for ages!! It'll be short though, I'm tired...

First of all: happy new year to everyone!! Kinda strange saying that when it's soon February, eh?

I think I'll just do my normal thing and list up what's happened:

*We got a new coach for our soccer team!! :) His name is Leif Tore, and he's great. We've already learnt a lot, and he's made a plan for trainings throughout the spring that looks really good!

*Heidi turned 18 - happy birthday!

*I had a german girl, Svenja, living at my house for ten days. Eight students from my German-class are taking part in this exchange-thing, and we're going to Germany in April. Can't wait! Taking part in this exchange let me get to know some of the norwegians in my class better too, especially the two guys, Anders and Sigurd. Fighting in the snow was great :)

*The soccerteams in the senior part of my soccerclub, both the girls and the guys, went to an indoor soccercup in Beitostølen. We were supposed to leave on Friday evening, but Svenja wasn't going home before Saturday, so I got there on Saturday morning. I missed the first two games,  but I played the last one. My team had already lost the two first games, and we lost the third one too. Our opponent was a team that won both the league and the cup in norwegian womes soccer this year, so we lost 17-0... They were so good!! And yeah, we sucked. lol. Anyways, I went out for pizza with a couple of friends. Later we went to watch the guys A-team play their games, and they won two and tied one. Eivind had been drinking since noon, so he said so many stupid things, that was really funny!! Later that evening we had a party, which was great. And LOUD - we got seven or eight complaints from other people staying at the hotel, and in the end we had to break up the party into lotsa smaller parties because the hotel management threatened to call the police. hehe. Anyways... The next morning, the guys played a game, lost, and were out of the tournament. Which meant that we had to wait for the bus for five hours in a wintersport village in the middle of nowhere. I should've brought my snowboard, cause the slopes looked great!

*On February the 4th, Kjersti turned 18. Happy birthday :) She got her drivers license too, congratulations!! A couple of friends had organized a surprise-party for her, but she wasn't surprised... In fact, she'd had a hunch since before christmas. hehe. It was a nice party anyway :)

...I think that's about it. Gotta go now, I'm sooooo looking forward to doing homework in German, History, English and Norwegian..... :/

see yah :)

-hanging out a lot with silje :) luv u (i have a good friend called silje, i'm not schizo)

-i found out that if things arent right between u and a friend, u should bring it up. u might both have misunderstood something, and thats not a proper reason to break up a friendship. u kow who u are, and you know that i love u :)

-i had my first proper driving lesson!! it was fun, and i didnt even hit anyone ;)

-i started watching one tree hill, it's so good!! and lucas is cute. and i like the song

Hi people :)

I'm getting even worse at this... It's now been one month since I updated!! But i don't know if anyone even reads this shit... If there's somebody out there, please comment!!

I LOVE my class now!! There are so many great people in it. Kristin, Kristin and Kristin (yes, there are three Kristins) are barrels of monkeys. Yesterday I went to Kristin's house with Kristin and Kristin, and we asked Kristin to come too, but she couldn't. (Confusing??) Every Tuesday, we have free lessons from 0930 to 1330... It gets kinda boring when we just hang out at school, so we decided to do something. So off we went, to buy chocolate, icetea and a mixture for brownies. When we got to Kristin's house we made brownies and ate way too many of them. I totally love her dog, a little thing that looks like a deformed lamb. =) Erlend and Morten are the best guys ever - it's great talking to them, they're so funny! And Ove - I love teasing him. (ordentlig, hahaha.:) )

The soccer season is over now... Boohoooo!! It feels kinda good though, cause I really needed a rest. I've been playing exactly 200% of the games I was supposed to play this season, so my knees are messed up. Lots of players have had the same problem - having too many games has worn us out, and this has affected our results. We only won one single game in the fall season... Now THAT sucks. We have a break until November, but then we will start training again so that we can do better when the spring season starts in April.

In my autumn vacation I went to my friend Silje's cabin in a Norwegian national park... We stayed there from Monday to Wednesday, and had parties on Monday and Tuesday. I had a lot of fun, but I'll say no more... Except that you get drunk really quickly when you shot a lot of drinks!!!

Theres so much to do for school now.. I have four tests this week; biology, German, English and this stupid subject where you learn about stuff like Norwegian politics (I dunno what to call it in English). Speaking of the German-test - I should be studying for that right now.

Oooh, I nearly forgot - we got a new computer!! :) I love it :) Its still a bit slow, cause we have isdn, but we'll get adsl on the 27th. I can't wait :) I'll finally be able to usethe iPod that I got for xmas too!! (that is, if I can find the firewire cable thingy. I think its in my closet, but it'll take me days to go through all the other stuff thats in there)

So far this week I've been very social; on Monday I went to Silje's house, on Tuesday I went to Kristins house and Silje came to my house, and today (Wednesday) Lisbeth came to my house. We watched a World Cup Qualification game between Norway and Slovenia, and Norway won 3-0!! GO NORWAY!! Oh, I have to tell you - theres this really funny comercial on tv right now. It's to promote a phone with this supposedly really good camera, and there are six soccer supporters, each with a different letter in "Norway" painted on his chest. They're taking pictures, and first the "R-guy" takes a picture while the others stand next to each other, spelling NO WAY. Then the "Y-guy" takes a picture, and the others spell "NO WAR." hehehe.... the commercial is funny anyways....

Ok... I think I'll have to end this entry here, cause I really have to do something or that test!! Wish me luck, I need it ;)

And remember to comment!!
